Performance Tester ( Neoload)
Location - Reston, Virginia
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Purpose of the Role
The Performance Test Engineer will design, script, execute, and analyze automated performance tests to ensure application scalability and stability. The role involves deep collaboration with development, architecture, and QA teams to diagnose performance issues and recommend improvements.
Responsibilities
• Develop performance test plans, scripts, and workloads using LoadRunner & NeoLoad.
• Execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests across applications.
• Collect & analyze performance results; identify system bottlenecks and provide tuning recommendations.
• Report defects through defect management tools and track them through closure.
• Review business and technical requirements to identify performance testing criteria.
• Monitor performance using tools such as Datadog to capture application/system metrics.
• Coordinate with functional QA and development teams for release coverage & change impact analysis.
• Participate in technical discussions architecture reviews, requirement walkthroughs, PI planning, etc.
• Support benchmarking activities and capacity-planning assessments.
• Maintain strong documentation including test plans, results summary, dashboards, and weekly status reports.
Required Skills
• 5 8 years performance testing experience with:
• OpenText Performance Center / LoadRunner
• Tricentis NeoLoad
• Deep understanding of:
• Performance testing principles & workload design
• Web / API / distributed system architecture
• System, server, network, virtualization & database concepts
• Proficient with SQL & PL/SQL and working with DB2 / Oracle / MongoDB (min. 2 RDBMS)
• Experience with Datadog or similar monitoring tools
• Hands-on with Jira and MS Office Suite
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
Preferred
• Healthcare industry project experience

• Detail & documentation oriented
• Comfortable presenting test findings to leadership and stakeholders
