Hi, Please let me know your interest in the position Role: Sr Cloud Architect Location: Washington, DC Job ID: OCTO Cloud Architect – 793546 Cloud platform certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect) Description: OCTO is seeking a Cloud Architect to assist with the continued build out of its multi cloud environment. This position will support OCTO and partner agencies in the migration of systems, build out of secure environments, configuration of cloud services. OCTO is seeking a Cloud Architect to assist with the continued build out of its multi cloud environment. This position will support OCTO and partner agencies in the migration of systems, build out of secure environments, configuration of vendor cloud services. The candidate must coordinate with OCTO Security and DC-NET teams to support requests and changes for firewalls and network routing. The candidate will apply best practices for cloud architecture and design to provide scalable, flexible and sustainable cloud deployments. This includes automated deployments through CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies. Candidate must be able to work with vendors and independently to create architecture diagrams and complex multi cloud integrations with various DC systems. Architected designs must be monitorable and be cost effective solutions and deployments. Responsibilities: • Demonstrates expertise in conveying technical and functional concepts for a specific technical specialty. • Identifies improvements to project standards to achieve high quality services/products. • Identifies best practices and standards for the use of the product • Delivers support and design for industry specific technologies that require integration with systems or networks. • Interacts with executive level business users or technical experts. • Functions as a niche technical SME. • Lead experience with technical expertise across large, complex implementations for systems. Required Skills • 11-15 yrs. conveying technical and functional concepts for a specific technical specialty • 11-15 yrs. preparing complex technical documentation • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience • 10+ years of experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) including core services like compute, storage, networking, databases, and security • Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture • 10+ years of experience with cloud migrations and modernization projects. • 10+ years of experience with hybrid and multi-cloud architectures • 10+ years of experience with Hybrid converged data centers and clouds • 7 years of experience with Design and implementation of cloud solutions • 7 years of experience with Cost optimization, Risk assessment and mitigation planning for cloud infrastructure • 5 years of experience with Networking fundamentals (VPCs, subnets, load balancing, DNS, firewalls) • 5 years of experience with Security and compliance frameworks (Zero Trust, encryption, IAM, compliance standards like FedRAMP for government) • 5 years of experience with Scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash) • 5 years of experience with Monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana) • 3 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices • 3 years of experience with Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) • 3 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, ARM templates) • Cloud platform certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect) Regards Kanchan Illa CSZNet, Inc.
