Credence has an immediate need for Senior Google Cloud Solutions Architect. In this role you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and overseeing robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize infrastructure, drive cloud adoption, and deliver innovative solutions that meet complex business and technical requirements. This position requires deep expertise in GCP architecture, a strong understanding of cloud security and compliance, and the ability to translate business goals into effective technical strategies.
Key Responsibilities
• Cloud Strategy & Design: Develop comprehensive cloud strategies aligned with business objectives. Architect tailored GCP solutions for application and data migration, modernization, and integration.
• Solution Implementation: Lead the design and deployment of cloud-native, hybrid, and multi-cloud solutions. Oversee technical development from inception to operational status, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
• Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to engineering teams, ensuring best practices in cloud architecture and deployment. Conduct workshops and technical presentations to demonstrate solution feasibility and value.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business, IT, and security teams to integrate GCP services into existing systems, enhancing performance and reliability.
• Governance & Compliance: Implement data governance frameworks and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST).
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging GCP technologies and trends. Conduct regular assessments of cloud infrastructure to identify and implement improvements.
Requirements
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens and capable of obtaining a DoD Secret clearance. Candidates with an active clearance are strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture or engineering roles, with at least 3 years focused on Google Cloud Platform.
• Proven track record of successful client engagements in cloud migration, modernization, and solution integration.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Cloud Foundation Toolkit, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
• Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect or equivalent certifications.
• Experience designing data architectures (data lakes, warehouses, pipelines) and implementing data governance.
• Ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects in fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tools.
