Leidos is actively seeking a Solution Architect for our Mission Solutions team within the National Security Sector. In this pivotal role, you will develop the technical vision that guides our efforts to support the Intelligence Community, DoD, and mission partners. You’ll create and communicate solutions that include intelligent automation, cybersecurity, systems engineering, AI/ML analytics, simulations, and secure supply chain logistics.
As a vital member of the CTO team, you will be both a technical storyteller and strategist, capable of transforming complex technical ideas into influential narratives. This position reports to the CTO for the Mission Solutions Business Area.
Primary Responsibilities
• Design and Lead Technical Solutions: Create innovative, mission-focused technical strategies that integrate the latest technologies to tackle customer challenges. Use your technical insights to convert complex mission requirements into effective solutions.
• Drive Capture and Proposal Success: Collaborate with business development teams to develop technical documentation, whitepapers, and responses to RFPs/RFIs, articulating how innovative technologies provide clear, compelling customer value.
• Integrate Emerging Technologies: Assess and incorporate next-gen capabilities like autonomous decision agents, AI orchestration, and resilient cyber frameworks into proposals and ongoing projects. Create solutions that meet current mission challenges through AI, Cyber, and emerging technologies.
• Influence and Communicate: Present and champion solutions to stakeholders at all levels, demonstrating how strategic technology investments create mission value.
• Drive Innovation: Identify, evaluate, and embed cutting-edge technologies into proposals and projects to enhance our performance across areas such as cybersecurity, AI/ML, and digital engineering.
• Collaborate Across Domains: Work with technical experts, program teams, and leadership to establish roadmaps that enhance enterprise capabilities and drive mission success.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience in a STEM-related field. Consideration given to additional experience in lieu of a degree.
• Technical expertise in mission-critical domains such as AI, Cyber, Quantum, Software Engineering, Digital Modernization, Cloud Migration, or Mission Operations.
• Proven ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences, including customers, business development, and technical teams, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience leading the development of technical proposals or whitepapers as a solution architect or technical volume lead.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• U.S. Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance and Polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications
• In-depth knowledge of AI/ML concepts, autonomous/Agentic AI, digital modernization, and cybersecurity technologies.
• Experience advising on cloud migrations from legacy systems to solutions like AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Understanding of AI governance, ethical AI, and secure development frameworks.
• Demonstrated success in technical capture and proposal development.
• Ability to conduct research into new technologies and compile evidence to drive solution development.
